Kayla & Jamie | Dade City Maternity Session

Y'all. Kayla and Jamie seriously rocked my world during their maternity session in Dade City! These two are best friends with Brooke and Hunter, who you might remember from their amazing session at Covington Farm last month. Brooke was so sweet and booked this session for them, and my sweet friend Paula was kind enough to let us come out and explore her beautiful property in Dade City! The light was amazing, and Kayla took advantage of my client wardrobe and we put together these awesome outfits!

Kayla and Jamie welcomed sweet baby Mayer into the world not too long ago, and I'm so excited to share these images from their maternity session so they can reflect on such a sweet time in their lives!

Holly | Honeymoon Island Maternity Session

I'm getting so excited for my move to Tampa, y'all! I've been flying back and forth quite a bit over the last year, visiting with family and taking small steps to make the transition as smooth as possible. One of the things I've been working on is shifting my focus a little bit in my photography. I absolutely adore photographing weddings, but I'm also finding that I really love photographing maternity sessions and families!

Holly and I actually went to high school together (good old Wesley Chapel High!) and she just recently moved back to Florida with her adorable family! She and her husband Justin already have one sweet little boy, and they are expecting a new baby girl any day now! We met up at Honeymoon Island to document that beautiful baby bump, and I'm so excited to share these with you all! Baby B, you are going to be so loved!

Brittni | Dade City Maternity Session

I recently had the opportunity to photograph a family that I've known since high school. In fact, it still feels like it was yesterday when Phillip, Brittni and I all had Spanish class together. I remember Phillip leaning over and telling me about his huge crush on Brittni, and here they are, so many years later, with a beautiful family and another sweet baby boy on the way!

Phillip is a firefighter for the city of Tampa (just like my sweet, handsome man!) and Brittni is actually a photographer as well. I will call them...my people. They have a sweet little girl and are expecting again in June! It's such a joy to see friends grow up and create their own families and be able to document little slivers of that along the way!

We met up in Dade City, a little sleepy town just north of Tampa, where I grew up. There's a quaint little park just near the lake - you might recognize this location from back when I photographed Alex and Heather's surprise proposal/engagement session a few years ago - and had some fun in the setting sun! I even brought some super fun smoke bombs to play up the whole, you know, having a baby boy thing ;)

This sweet little family is everything!!! I'm so in love with these images, and I hope you guys enjoy them enough to leave some love! I'd love to start filling some dates in Florida with family sessions, so if any of my Tampa friends are reading this, get in touch!

Teresa, RN BSN

Hello, can we talk about how gorgeous this girl is?! Seriously though. Teresa is a former classmate of mine. We survived not one, but two semesters of Dr. Kent for Anatomy and Physiology when we were both trying to get into nursing school. After we finished our prerequisites, we ended up at different nursing schools, but still stayed in touch! Teresa is graduating from Aquinas with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing! She's not just pretty, she's smart, too! Teresa, you are beautiful and wonderful and I am blessed to know you! You are going to be a fabulous nurse!

The Settlemire Family

I don't know if there are enough words in the english language to describe how wonderful the Settlemire's are. Maybe I'm a little biased, because I'm lucky enough to call them friends, but the warm and welcoming feeling I get from this family has been present since the day I met them. They've opened up their home (and their barn and their horses and their arena) to me, and I am one lucky lady. I'm a firm believer in the fact that God puts people in our lives right when we need them there, and I think there's a reason that Tami called me the day that she did. I've prayed a lot this year to be surrounded by people who love and support and lift me up, and I can honestly say that God answered my prayers when he introduced me to Tami. I'm thankful to know her!

Tami's beautiful daughter Casey is getting married in just a few short weeks and moving to Hawaii, so we spent a beautiful evening on the Settlemire farm with their horses, documenting a life that some people could only dream of living. At one point, I jokingly told them to frolic through the field like it was totally normal for them, to which they replied that it kind of was normal. I love these guys!

I'm so thankful to have been given a gift that allows me to create memories for people that will last forever. They don't have to be picture perfect, posed images. They just have to show real life, because in the end, that's what you're going to remember.

The Grimes Family

I don't think I've ever met anyone funnier than Traci Lynn. We met in nursing school, and she'll always be one of my favorites. When I met the rest of her family, I just knew we were going to have a great time. We met in Chapel Hill at a little place called Hutton Hollow, a beautiful farm where Traci Lynn's family lives. We spent some time getting fun, candid family photos, practicing our best Blue Steel impressions, and playing in the tall, golden grass. I also spent some time with Ethan, who will be graduating this year! He impressed us all with his standing back flip!

There aren't enough words to describe the wonderful kind of woman Heather is. She is a woman of strong faith and kindness. She is the kind of woman that cares for others and inspires everyone she meets. She is about to become a mother and to say that she is excited about this new chapter in her life is an understatement. Heather and her handsome hubby Jeremy met me in Hermitage one summer afternoon to document a little part of their journey. It was all about the bump, but it was so much more than that. I truly enjoyed telling the story of just how beautiful Blakely's momma was before she was born.

A few of my favorite little humans and one of my favorite big humans came out to the farm last week for a spring mini-session in the sunshine. Flower crowns and flowing maxi skirts and fairy wings and dandelions made for one of my favorite family sessions of all time ever! Check out these cuties and tell me you don't love them, too!

OH EM GEE! Can we just talk about how stinkin' cute Rachel is and how excited I am that she lives two seconds around the corner from me now!? Rachel is an incredible photographer who just moved here from California! I wanted to make sure and give her a proper welcome to Nashville, so naturally I made her feel nice and awkward in front of my camera. Seriously. Look how cute she is. Look at that nose scrunch! And that smile! Maybe I have a little girl crush ;) Rachel will be joining me as a second shooter on a lot of weddings this year, so you may see her around!

Make sure and check out Rachel's website (http://www.rachellombardiphoto.com) and send her some love!
